San Diego was a trip of firsts, not only did Luke go to the zoo for the first time, but we also went to the beach for the first time.
Luke has a love/hate relationship with water - he loves it loves it loves it . . . until the water hits his eyes. He would point to the water receding, but the second the water started coming in again, he was grabbing at Grammie's hands. He loved watching the water, keeping his feet in the water and running around. The beach was such a huge part of Grammie's life that we want to have it be a part of Luke's life as well. That being said, having Grammie live in San Diego helps a lot!
